Category: Drilling & Piling,

Project Owner: City of St. Joseph

Engineer: Black and Veatch

Contractor: Mega Industries

Description:

Part of a multiphase project to clean up the Missouri River by diverting excess storm water away from the City’s overtaxed sewage treatment plant, Decker Construction was hired to install over 650,000 lbs of sheet and shell piling.

While Decker Construction focused on the steel erection, crews elsewhere from Mega Industries and Rodriguez Mechanical were installing over a mile of precast concrete box culvert. Super Excavators, meanwhile was gearing up for the boring of a tunnel 6000’ feet long under St. Joseph’s riverfront bluffs. We are proud to be a part of a project that brought together the experience and expertise of world class contractors and engineers from all over the country to protect our national waterways.
